Ringing in the New Year - What are your plans?

Watching an Oprah marathon until the spouse comes home, then going Christmas light hunting and ending with some Chinese food.

 

It's kind of a tradition for us to host a massive slumber party for neighborhood kids while their parents stay out late and do their thing. New Year's Day around lunch time, birthday party for our oldest before the kids go home (which is how the tradition started). This year we're down to two guests since the kids are teens or older (except one).

 

Went out to dinner, fixed my computer and now posting on tilted forum, listening to Leonard Cohen and Lady Antebellum

 

In addition to the far above, Ive decided to smoke a joint naked outside at midnight, to feel the new weather.
Its after 5p. Ive started the Makers.
Ahhhhhhh.

 

It's 5 o'clock somewhere......

 

Went out for outstanding rib dinner, came home and took down the Christmas tree and all the decorations, ate popcorn, hoping to welcome the new year naked!

 

its bad luck to take down the xmas decs until the 12th day!

 

Welp, NYE involved an expensive 8-course tasting menu that lasted four and a half hours at a fancy restaurant, followed by a party three blocks from my house with good friends.

I'm still stuck on the night before's six hours of hot tubbing under the stars, where my lady and I came one innocent bystander too many away from being part of a threesome.

Nice way to close out the year.

 

New Year's Eve is a good excuse for getting a little loopy. Only 365 more days to wait before loopy is legit again.
