Listening to Dutch people talk with each other is quickly becoming my favorite past-time.

    Hilarious language.

This is hard to admit. My (soon former-) boss just told me that he had recommended me to someone that is looking to hire.
I didn't expect this and shows that he is better person than I have given him credit for.

The possibility of not having health insurance at the gain of having a more normal life and only having to work 5 days a week. Such tough decisions.

    Canada came up.

Turns out the boy has thought about Edmonton, and with Canada's stance on health insurance and him in an field Canada says they have a shortage in, we will see if this option is worth exploring.

Can you buy a reasonable independent plan?

Already paying nearly $500 a month on the premium for the 2 of us through the employer provided HMO plan. Not sure what would be "reasonable" for an independent plan. We tried that route earlier last year but I got excluded because of my rapid weight gain due to working hours/stress :(

Ugh. I just wondered... I found an individual plan with BCBS for $150/mo with no employer connection. I was hoping there would be something. :(

  12. My new wrist thingy for my keyboard at work is niiiiiiiiiiice. I also have one for the mouse. They have massaging beads.

Speaking of massages. I LOVE P.T.! My Physical Therapist basically gives my neck, shoulder and back a massage. THEN I get a hot pad and electric treatment thing that feels oh so good. My take home exercises are basically just stretches.... Much better than the torture I went through with my various PT experiences with my knee.

Now don't think I'm advocating any particular stance here, but local laws don't mean a thing when someone can get in a car, drive 40 miles and still get whatever guns they want. Yet again, not advocating any particular stance, just saying that for these laws to work they have to be enforced more universally. Probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I'm pretty sure gun control/regulation by itself isn't a solution to the violence we seem to want to do to each other. It might be a part of the solution, though.

Teeheehee. I've been after my mentor to give me papers to grade. He finally did. Yay!

I wonder who will notice first that my handwriting is different than his.

My inbox keeps getting piled on.

I think I should be okay by Sunday night.

There's nothing like more than $500 worth of small projects dropping out of nowhere at the tail end of a bigger project.

Had a night full of weird dreams. At one point we were in my father's house and Rob and Doug Ford were over for dinner. Rob Ford was sweating so much that he had to flip his toupee forward to cool his head. Then I had to make homebrew and I was worried I was doing it right. While this was happening my friend started asking Rob tough questions so he left without thanking me for dinner.

Now I am awake and very tired.

There is something distinctly postmodern about listening to sword and sorcery soundtracks while editing medical reports. I think I'm programming myself for some seriously fucked-up shit when I get back to writing.

You'd better take two showers. Leave the cold tap off.

Dream logic is very strange. It is definitely not narrative logic.

Is it bad to feel good about my capacity to speed grade approximately 150 assignments in approximately 1.75 hours? I'm pretty sure this task would've taken my mentor teacher a lot longer.
