It still smells so good down here in the kitchen this morning.

  3. It's a beautiful day here, soon to head to my sisters. Both of my sons are here. Later tonight National Lampoons Christmas Vacation will be played. And I'll laugh at all the parts I have memorized. And have a bourbon or two.

So everyone, stay safe, eat too much, hug and kiss loved ones and enjoy this day.

I love you too, Ralphie. If I was at your place? I'd be eating ALL the mashed potatoes. Outta the serving bowl.

Thanks, ralphie250. Much love back to you and yours.

I'm very thankful for my TFP family. You guys are so supportive and wonderful. I've learned so much in my years of being here, and you've all helped me process so much. Thank you.

It's always been a family tradition of mine that when we see Santa come into 34th St on Macy's Parade, We officially start the Christmas season. and we start it off by wishing friends and family a warm Seasons Greetings. to greet the start of the Holiday season. So, with that in mind

Happy Thanksgiving and SEASONS GREETINGS everyone. hope you have a great one.

  11. My new daughter-in-law brought our new Thanksgiving tradition to the family several years ago: Thanksgiving Breakfast! Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy with their best friends and both sets of in-laws while watching parade coverage is a great way to start the day.

Happy Thanksgiving, all. Whether you live in the states or not, I hope you have something wonderful in your life to for which to be thankful.

Tomorrow, I have to look through my stuff and find out if I still have the right label size for my label file. Then I have to print off my Christmas card labels. Christmas cards are so much easier this way. I created a label file so I wouldn't have to handwrite all of my wedding invitation envelopes, and then subsequently discovered that this label file is useful for other things too. Last year, it took us 20 minutes to do our Christmas cards, and everyone loved them! The sooner they are off of my desk, the better.

I always made cinnamon rolls on Thanksgiving morning. Usually, one or both grandpas was staying with us for Thanksgiving during my teenage years, and so I was in charge of the homemade cinnamon rolls and the appetizers; Mom did the Thanksgiving dinner. We would have breakfast and coffee around 8, and then our other guests, such as my cousins, would show up around noon, at which point I would set out my appetizer buffet. The turkey would come out of the oven at 2pm, and we would eat around 3.

Someday I will bring my Thanksgiving traditions back.

    Happy Thanksgiving, TFP!

We're chilling at the office right now. We aren't open, but we're using the time to catch up on some stuff. The dogs are hanging out with us, and being good. Maybe they're starting to get used to it (I really hope I didn't just jinx it.)

Heading back home in a bit, where I'll make green bean casserole (Lordeden is going to make potatoes au gratin), and then we're going to his family dinner. I did an hour of cardio to make up (sort of) for all the yummy Thanksgiving food I don't get to eat very often. w00t!

There was this one time that I worked on a cruise ship with a lot of hot women of various ethnicities. Never once did I get laid.

    True story.

This year brought a 10-7 last night which was actually not too bad and even gives me a not so great 7-7 shift tonight dealing with waaaay too many people giving thanks by spending boatloads of money. I strongly suspect the likely less than four of sleep today will feel stellar tomorrow. Woo Hoo!
