Great.. I asked earlier this semester when it would be safe to schedule my flight to London, and she said Friday of finals week would be fine.. now it looks like our comprehensive exam may be that day.

Fuck. I don't want to have to change it.

/etc/sysconfig is a centos/rhel thing. Your IPSO is running some variant of bsd, from what I recall. ntp config will most likely just be under /etc (or /etc/rcn.d for startup stuff).

If you just want to make sure it's run, do a ps auxf and grep ntpd. It should show up there.

*cry* I wish I were cooking. Moreover, I wish my family would let me cook more stuff. Pies? I offered. Nope, instead my MIL is going to buy pies at Costco. WTF. I'm relegated to a veggie side and a vegetarian dish.

Someday, I will host Thanksgiving and no one will have to bring anything because I will make it all myself. I'd say from scratch, but then I'd be overlooking the joy that is Pepperidge Farm stuffing in a bag.

It's nice to cook everything but jesus it is exhausting.

Especially when your wife can burn water. The help around here sucks. :p

oh..and WTF?! store bought pies?! Not in mah house MFers.

Glory's Sun I KNOW! It's not like baking a pie is hard! The baking takes longer than the pie making.

I really miss cooking Thanksgiving dinner. It's my favorite holiday because it is wholly centered around food and family. No distractions, other than football, which in our family IS a family bonding activity. Yes, it is tiring to cook everything, but it's a rewarding kind of tiring. I like showing off my skills in the kitchen and hearing the compliments roll in.

Someday, Thanksgiving will be mine again.

I let them know at work today that after January 7th the only shift I will be free to work is Tuesday mornings. We'll see how this goes. In the back of my mind I foresaw this 'not being able to work' thing. But I left it there...in the back of my mind. It's going to be an interesting two years. But me, I will make it work. Fuck all that. Grawr.

I'm having red wine too, but I'm totally jealous of the "brinner" combo with it. Don't think I've been there...............yet. You've given me aspirations my dear mixedmedia. ;)

I wish I could eat persimmons all year long, but perhaps I like them best because they are only here for a limited time.
