Pointless Announcements

Priceless moment at the bachelor party: when the strippers arrive and around 10 young men... and one of the girls... facepalm simultaneously. They all hang out at the same bowling alley, and each of the guys has taken her home. Apparently, none of the fellas were aware of her profession. The situation may have affected her performance. Her partner was a lot more entertaining. Prettier, too.

 

If I was you, I would just have two bug-out bags for a 3 day thing. Grab the bags and get the fuck out of NYC. If shit really hits the fan, you need to get the hell out of NYC. If things are bad in the US, Urban areas are going to be hell. Fighting, looting, food/water in short supply, not a good place to be. I'd have somewhere to go outside of a major city and ride it out there.

 

Just vote. It is who we are. It is the one common experience that binds all Americans together. All Americans from the early colonists to everyone today. Thousands have given all for over 200 years to protect this right. Just do it.

I love this series, the first three books are awesome. It does get a bit magicky in the last three.

 

You left out the part where he shaves his head into a mohawk, puts on some blue face paint and meets up with us for raiding parties to acquire women and booze. The whole point of disaster prep is to engage in looting and pillaging on your own terms, isn't it? Always pack your war paint.

 

Do you pack many guns in the "get the hell out of dodge" bag, or do you just plan on adding to your arsenal from the "donations" well meaning but poorly trained urban yuppies are carrying when they meet you as they try to scavenge food from a burned out shell of a McDonalds in midddle of nowhere Kanas?

@cynthetiq: Agreed with what everyone else just stated. After watching numerous horror/disaster television shows and movies involving NYC, you should avoid: large crowds, gas stations, grocery stores, bridges, tunnels, subway stations, lakes, oceans and high-ways. ​

I did. And I would most definitely recommend the change.
The ease of customization, file transfers, and accessing what I need to be working on/multitasking are hugely important and my favorite part. It's super light, easy to see, and it cooperates. And anything that I can yell at less than its predecessor works for me!

 

I had a friend that went from the GSIII to an I4, she says she liked the Galaxy better.
