    To boldly go where no man has gone before... we're all trekked out at the microscope facility! I sewed 4 costumes yesterday, and somehow didn't stay up late doing it. This is the first time I've really used my sewing skills for something somewhat productive. We have the most awesome group of nerds.

    Nice costume, I always have liked that era most on looks. On functionality and comfort I have to go with the Enterprise era; I practically lived in coveralls in the Navy and know how much better those are for doing actual work in comfort compared to dungarees.

    Speaking of uniforms from TOS, just thought of the female uniforms from the "Mirror, Mirror" episode. :cool:

    I've posted once or twice about an employee of one of my customers who was honestly one of the only ones I hated dealing with. He has always been stubborn, not very bright, and not very nice. His computer skill are horrid, and he always lashes out when things go wrong, even if only he is to blame.

    I got a message today. He is no longer with the company. Apparently getting arrested in a prostitution sting in a small town isn't appreciated by employers who are trying to be a positive influence on the culture and economy of the community.

    I don't wish bad on anyone, but he brought it on himself.

    Damn laptop fried before my eyes this morning as I was using it. Screen went dead, fan went into overdrive. Dead as can be. Maybe static? But I don't recall feeling a shock. Of course, I'm in the midst of a huge deadline on an egagement. And a few other issues that need to be tended to ASAP. Headed to my company's office in Toledo for repair/replace. Most likely the latter.

    Overheated? Some laptops have a safety feature that shuts them down like that. Maybe a vent was obstructed or something is starting to go but it'll fire back up when it cools?
