    I really miss my "almost mother-in-law"! When I s till lived in Ohio, we had lunch together all the time. She's so super sweet.

    Half of it is that I don't care for my FIL too much. He has a very dominant personality (to the point of being unhealthy) and expected his wife and kids to always fall in line, or else he'd blow up. I've let him know very plainly that that policy no longer works for the daughter who married me, and I won't accept him giving her any grief about it, or sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong (which he's done many times before). The past few years he has finally gotten to the point where I think he tries too hard to be nice to me in hopes of making up for past wrongs. I don't really care any more, I just don't fully trust him either. I'll be polite and civil, but I have no desire to be best friends or put up with his bossiness (bossyness?). I'm sure I'll live. I'm fairly certain I won't have to kill him either. It'll all be fine, I just want to whine.

    The other half of my problem is that I don't want to have to wear pants.

    My uncle got married in a kilt (we're Scotch-Irish). I'd be all for it. I rarely have pants on 90 seconds after I've walked in the door.

    Exactly the same here. Pants are banned in my place. Unless you're a guest. :eek:

    I got a similar situation, since the Afghan traditional dress is so "lofty" (for lack of a better word) it is pure heaven.

    UCF College of Nursing has accepted me. Still need to hear back from the other school, but since they work on these suggestions together, I'm gonna assume I'll get an acceptance letter in the mail from them this week. Yay! Now I really have a reason to crack open that bottle of shiraz I've been saving all week!

    I like having roommates because they make me be social as well as if I have a problem, they'll take me to the ER.

    I don't like having roommates because I feel I should wear pants. They haven't earned the right to see me nakers 24-7 yet.

    I'm kind of overwhelmed with a barrage of emotions. Thinking back on everything that has happened since starting on this path...I am just really thankful and happy. So fucking happy! I will be a nursing student again in January. I can't think of anything that could make me happier.
