    How much longer (minimum) will you be in Singapore? I'm set to go to Hong Kong in Q1 2013, and I can always make a ridiculous detour on the way back. :D

    One more place I have to travel. I do have to say, the topic came up at book club tonight, and I did say I had to visit Singapore to see a friend after it was mentioned that Singapore was cool. When it was said that Singapore was cool, I said of course, because my buddy Charlatan lives there. People were suitably impressed.

    Perfect. I'll make plans to stay in Singapore for 2 days on transit so we can go on a binge. :D

    snowy : Cheers for the offer! Though, it would be considerably more difficult to reconcile your Oregon's distance from my usual destinations. I could try coming over after my inevitable trip to Tokyo/Kyoto sometime next year, but... well, pictures speak a thousand words:

    However, when I do come to the USA to be strip-searched and subject to "random" searches at your airports, I will definitely come by two places: Chicago and Oregon (Portland?). Another possible location being New York City, as Emirates flies directly to NYC and I'd have to take it for the most efficient way to get to Chicago.

    Chicago is a definite because there's a whole bunch of TFPers there, plus my sister lives fairly close to it.
