You know what I excel at? Switching from writing a questionable/dirty/inappropriate email to an old "friend" to writing an email to a colleague about work stuff.

I hope I just didn't jinx myself.

I just updated the kernel of my Linux-based netbook. It's my first ever kernel update. I didn't have to compile it from source, luckily...

Good thing I kept the old kernel; I get no X-window now. Time for debugging!

 

What am I supposed to do with a prospect that won't say "no" even when I ask if I'm wasting but never actually says "yes"? Do I keep trying? It something that I want quite a bit, but I haven't figured out if it's worth the effort. Or even possible.

 

Got me thinking about checking out the Women Who Rock exhibit that just opened this month at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

I had an illustration the other day of what happens when someone (very likely a college student) places a beer in the freezer section. I got to clean up that one, you can clearly the water and alcohol separation when you have solid flaky ice and the not quite frozen state the other component cannot get past.
