    Well, as far as the big dailies go, two of them are national papers (The Globe and the National Post). The Toronto Star is rare in that it's Canada's most circulated daily while most of its print distribution is in Ontario.

    That and I would hardly call the Toronto Sun a newspaper.

    The other issue was that free-daily war that started a few years ago. I think only two or three survived. I remember it well, for weeks the subways, streetcars, and buses were a mess. They were like giant hamster cages.

    Sometimes there's not that much of a difference between "Hmm that's interesting and I'm flattered you'd ask" and "yes, that sounds great! I'm sold!" A lot of time the difference is just persistence.
