I hate flying, especially now that I wear a bracelet I can't get off without a team of surgeons.

Funny airport security story. Me traveling from US to Heathrow with a cuckoo clock packed in my carry on luggage. Oh the hilarity~

ok so first off, i am already considering the chiffon number i will sport for the men of tfp spread. something fabulous and a bit formal. sassy.

in other news, i talked to a comrade on the weekend about my first chapter and he said that it was fabulous. there are edits, he said, and i'll send them. then i talked to someone else who told me that the sentences sucked. she was nice about it, but emphatic. so i started copy editing. when i reached the point of not being able to see the type any more through all the edits, i figured out that she was right. so this is gonna require some attention. conceptually it's there. but if the sentences are fucked up enough, it doesn't matter. such are the wages of writing something dense really fast. you can't see how it works at the sentence level after a certain point.

it's much more fun thinking about how to arrange myself on a kitchen counter for the photo shoot. provocative but with gravitas.

Day two of my week of doing nothing for a living. Maybe I'll get a ticket to do some work today. Maybe I'll catch up on my reading. I hope I get a response from that job app I sent in recently.

 

I won't be in the "Men of TFP" calendar. But that should be obvious since I'm not a man - I'm an asshole.
