I love the Law department of my SO's university.

She's doing this course and neither of us could stop laughing at the scenario they came up with. Loving as well that an entire course is based on that 2-page scenario.

Now that is a sport worthy of the Olympics there, not sure how you measure the points or the medals but does it really matter?

 

Maybe as the ride... not the competitor.

 

I just skipped ahead* to season 4, Episode 1 of the new Battlestar Galactica series "Razors Edge" and saw the part where they show the old cylons in their ships. That was worth the price of admission alone, and of course seeing Ensign Ro Laren again as an Admiral is quite neat as well.

*Skipped ahead as in the next new episode for me would be the opening of season 3.

You can't spell "competitor" without "tit(s)", must be a sign that this event should be included ASAP. Might draw in people that otherwise could not care less about 95% of the events they have now.

so i started paying attention to nbc's olympic coverage. what the fuck is with these people? it's like having your head stuffed into some pipe filled with stupid. why is ryan seacrest involved with this coverage at all? more appallingly--why does ryan seacrest not seem to make the coverage suck any more than it already does? why is there no coverage of badminton? what's with the horrifying music? why do these idiotic human interest stories never end? WHY IS THERE NO BADMINTON?

 

Ryan Seacrest? That gives me even less reason to watch the olympics. I just want to see the basketball games and that is not going to happen. Oh well.
I did get to watch a good portion of the original Dream Team back in 1992.

and now course I work with kids that were wearing diapers back in 1992.

I stayed away from the interwebs and the TV tonight, so I could watch the primetime events spoiler-free. I'm glad I did.

Hump day

 

Set up a series recording of the Olympics and noticed I had (12) 2-4 hour recordings of gymnastic, swimming, volleyball, kayaking, rowing, and basketball. I would like to see the fencing/running events. When do those start?

 

Fencing started on either Day 1 or 2. They're already through with it in some events (women's epee for example).

Track starts on Friday, I think.

Badmitton isn't on because most Americans don't watch it or understand it. But roachboy, if you look, you can find it. It's streaming and it's on the other NBC channels live. They're just not carrying all the sports on the main network, mainly because they couldn't due to time constraints. They have to cut something.
