    Failing hard drives are so awesome. The 500 GB from what was a Western Digital MyBook enclosure (Never again) is quitting after three years I think. Fortunately I have backed up most of it already onto other partitions. It appears to be sinking faster than the Lusitania now after giving me those few days to retrieve things.
    I decided to buy a 1 TB seagate drive in a portable enclosure at work today and that should replace it nicely. Just took some of the single NTFS partition on there and made it FAT32 so it would it interact smoothly with the Linux system.
    Also really appreciating my SATA/IDE HD & Optical drive USB adapter kit even more this morning. Only used it once before this but a damn useful piece of equipment.
