Got 'em! Well, they ended up being $12 with the service charge, but still. I'll have to sit through a few bands I couldn't care less about, but seeing four bands I DO like for twelve bucks is pretty awesome.

Time for bed now, or in this case "too brief nap that will have to do because I stayed up all day knowing last night was my Monday" probably paired with "It will likely be at least 2030 before I actually get up and start moving again just to get ready for work again. Despite me 'planning' on getting up at 1700".

 

People are so mean here that every day some employee is crying.

Nothing happens here on time. Japanese people here would lose their fucking minds. I'm sitting in an theater getting ready to watch a dance show put on by a private school. The show was to start at 630, it's now 715 and theyre telling the parents to sit down and shut up. Been doing that for an hour.

 

I hear you, SirLance. I turn 41 in August and I feel so out of touch with today's music it's sad.
I don't get it either, I loved a lot of my parent's music, but this new stuff just sounds like so much noise.

I was watching the Billboard Music Awards a couple of weeks ago.
Most of the acts I haven't heard of before, and if I never heard from them again, I wouldn't miss them one iota.

 

Fremen and SirLance

Those were mostly '90's bands that she listed. I'm 30...you guys (at least Fremen) are only a decade older than me. You were probably only in your 20s when those bands were popular. I remember listening to them in High School so at most, you were 28 when they came out and probably would have known them....unless you were too cool for that music or were still stuck in the 80s.

I don't know music now really.....but I did a few years ago.

 

Heh, I definitely was not too cool for the music. I just like older music. When I was very young, we didn't have Mtv or a stereo, just my parent's record player and a cheap bedside radio.
After my pop died in the early 80's, we bought a stereo, and started seeing more popular movies that had some great songs in them, plus Mtv came about and we were introduced to the rockin' 80's music.

Under my parent's influence, I learned to love older music, and that has been my preference throughout my life. Some 40's, but mainly 50's, 60's, 70's and the 80's are my main listening time periods. Every once in a while, stuff from the 90's and up.

 

It's amazing how quickly a blowjob will put an insomniac to sleep.
