Watching Twilight + listening to Rifftrax audio makes it a much better experience. Such rich source material to destroy in there.

I'm watching a show on NatGeo Wild called Puma! It needs more pumas, less condors.

I just received a scam call. I'm pretty sure they would have tried to sell me antivirus protection/computer fixes over the phone if I weren't an idiot.

    It was funny.

The exchange went something like this:

"I'm calling from the computer networking department, and our server is picking up errors and messages about your computer."
"What company are you calling from?"
"I'm calling from the computer networking department."
    "Which company?"
    "Global Solutions Something-or-other"
"What company are you associated with?"
"I'm calling on behalf of the computer networking department."
    "Where are you based?"
    "Pardon?"
    "Where is your company based?"
    "[Mispronounces the province.]"
    "Where in [the province]?"
    "Pardon?"
    "What city?"
"[Mispronounces the province again, and then hesitatingly states the local city name.] I'm calling because we have errors and messages about your computer."
"How did you get that information?"
"When you use your computer, you transmit the information tied to a unique identification number."
"Which computer are you talking about?"
    "Pardon?"
    "I have four computers here."
    "The one you are using."
"I'm currently using two, and I will use a third a bit later."
    "The one you are using."
    "What about it?"
"We have errors and messages about your computer tied to its unique identification number."
"How did you get that information?"
"When you use your computer, it stores information in its memory—" *click*
*Wonders if it's the first time a telemarketer/scammer hung up on him*

I once denied having a phone to someone calling to get me to switch long distance services. When they couldn't get me to admit that I was talking to them on one, they hung up. I hope I was half as amusing to them as they were to me.

used to be brown with tints of red that showed in the sunlight. Sporting the much cooler "natural frosted" look now, especially on my chin.
If dying my hair makes me a stepchild of TFP am I safe from Happy Posting Bot then as "family"? Or are they the first to go when it finally snaps and summons the spirits from the ancient Indian burial mound the TFP servers call home to help in the rampage?

So...I got a new-to-me car. It's only two years younger than my previous Volvo, but since it wasn't ever used as a family car, it's in much better condition. It has its own quirks, such as the radio doesn't work, but the tape deck works, so who cares :) I'll just listen to stuff on my phone.

I sometimes wonder if I'll ever have my own car, and what kind of car it would be. People often speak lovingly about their first car. I feel like I'm missing out on something. (Probably not.)

When you live in a city like this, having one car (or no car) is often pretty sensible. If we ever move to suburbia or somewhere rural, that may change.

We're getting rid of my previous car, so we'll still only have one car. My husband walks or bikes to work, and once the summer is over, I'll basically have no reason to drive a car much. At that point, we'll mostly use the car for getting out of town.
