    Everyone here is very into Karaoke. It like Tokyo circa 1986 all over again. But, of course, most of the songs are in Spanish and most if not all are completely new to me. I've managed to avoid singing (which is likely best for all those in attendance) by simply explaining I've never heard that song before and my Spanish is awful. Last weekend at a party the DJ (good friend of a friend) approached me excitedly and exclaimed he had some songs just for me in English. First song he showed me was "I will survive." I thought I'm not interested mimicking Gloria Gaynor and as a joke asked if he also had "It's raining men." He looked up at me a stated "let me see if I can find it, please write the name for me." I safely managed to claim "I never heard that song before" all night. By the end of the night I must have claimed to have never heard of the Bee Gees 20 times.
