  2. Damn, woke up at 3, sick as can be for an hour. In a hotel room, headed to a client in a couple of hours. Then a 5 hour drive home. This will be an interesting day. Feel like crap.

Ugh, been there, done that. It's the worst. Take the drive easy and just be happy that you don't have to get on a plane at the end of it.

    Feel better, boss.

Moved cubicles. It was better quieter, until the loud jackasses who I moved away from, came to visit my next door neighbor and talked very loudly with him all damned morning. I had earphones in, watching a training video, with the volume all the way up and couldn't hear the video at all... FMJ ( j=job )

Max's favorite game in the morning when S is scooping is to stalk him from across the condo and run at him full speed in an attempt to foil his attempt to steal Max's poop. Them they all fight over who gets to be the first one to pee in there after S is done. It's King of the Box every morning. They're so blasé about it at night.

I used to joke that I was gonna take a dump in Buddha's box to show him how bad it smells to the rest of us but something tells me that plan would have backfired when I woke up the next morning and slipped on a litter-battered kielbasa-sized boobytrap. Cats are super dangerous, people. Beware.

*Baraka grudgingly proceeds to scoop the litter box*

Feline matriarch: Hey, are you almost done in there? I gotta go. Make sure you cover up your business when you're finished with it.

Baraka: Damn it, cat. I'm not going in there. I'm cleaning up your shit.

Feline matriarch: Whatevs, foolish biped. I heard you scratching around in there....

You people with multiple cats, do you use more than one litterbox?

    we have two litter boxes.
and yes, whenever we clean out the litter box, the cats hang around watching with great interest while we scoop out the previous day's gifts. then there is a race to see who gets the honor of pooping in the clean litter first.

  12. You should have more than one...actually, one more than the number of cats. It's not always doable space wise.

My cats spend a good deal of time outside now. They probably use someone's flower bed.

What do you mean "you people"?

We have used heavy duty cat litter ever since getting the second cat. We just recently upgraded to a full sized litter box (about twice the size of the average box). It works well.

Our girls only like one litter box. We used to have two for two cats but they never used the second one, preferring the first one. One cat still poops on the floor regardless of the number of boxes, but it's right next to the litter box, and we think it's related to a hip issue--she has pins holding one leg together and doesn't like walking on uneven surfaces.

Interesting answers. Thanks. It's been years since I had a cat that used one, (outside kitty ftw) but the thing I remember most about them, other than the smell, if left untended, was the cat staring me in the face as they hung from the edge and went about their business.

    Me: *snigger*
    Cat: What?? I keel you!

On an unrelated note, found this fucked up experiment...
Did the monkey banana and water spray experiment ever take place

We had two extra-large litter boxes inside two 40-gallon Rubbermaid bins until we discovered the Nature's Miracle corner litter box. It's big enough for them to turn around, has a hood (so Max can lay on top and harass whoever is using it at the moment, of course), and has a slanted edge at the entrance. Faust is 18lbs, Max is 15 lbs, and poor Old Man is around 6 lbs. They poop ALOT since they're on EVO grain-free stuff. S has to scoop it twice a day... After Max's 7:30am and 10pm poops. And we have a lot fewer shitastrophies with the new box, too.

Our lives revolved around cat shit for months, so I tend to wax on about how much more awesome life is now that there isn't poop all over the house. When I say "all over" I mean you could track his movements from the litter box to when he greeted us at the front door hours later. Max has A LOT of energy.
