    Watching MacGuyver on Netflix and this episode tells me that Czechoslovakia/Eastern Europe looks identical to Southern California and also wherever in "Georgia" Hazzard country is located. At least after season 1, if I recall correctly they actually did film in Georgia early on with that show.
    It also informs tells me that in 1985 well known Soviet GRU agents were able to travel freely from the Eastern Bloc countries to Los Angeles as they saw fit.

    To clarify, a wine walk is where different wineries set up tasting tables in shops downtown and we walk from shop to shop tasting wine. It is pretty fabulous. We are now wrapping up the evening at one of my favorite spots with one of my favorite bartenders.

    so i'm all dressed for my outing this morning and i take simba out for a walk.
    everything is fine until about 20 yards from our apartment we come across a guy with two little yappy dogs and i let simba stop to say hello.
    one of the other little dogs runs up to me and puts his muddy little paws all over my khaki capri pants.
