    I read that he was a vegatarian with very little body fat and ran several miles each day. You wouldn't think he would have coronary disease. I'm sure he didn't either.

    Atherosclerosis is not necessarily dietary, it is just a risk factor. There are also genetics. Some arryhthmias (right bundle branch block, for one) occur because of atherosclerosis and put the patient at risk of sudden cardiac death, with no other symptoms. Takes an echo-cardiogram to reveal the problem. Perhaps even a cath.
