Oh, they did exactly that where I'm at. It was confirmed that there will be no teacher raises for the next 3 years. Cost of living sheckles if you're lucky.

They wonder why teachers are doing the "work to the rule" thing. And why NBPTS-certified, 10 year badasses like my woman are peacing out.

 

So I am finally leaving the house for the first time since surgery 3 weeks ago. Have a 5.5 hour drive in front of me. And the same for the return tomorrow.

What seems disturbing about his death at age 66 is that according to several news reports, the initial cause of death statement in part reads: 'an autopsy was performed at 10:30 AM EST, and doctors determined Jones died from an abnormal heart rhythm caused by coronary artery atherosclerosis.'

It sounds entirely preventable--or at least delay-able.
Probably disturbing me most is not the teen-idol thing but that this follows my FIL with his treatable heart condition flaking out and stopping his meds.--and dying due to it. Bottom line is when you have a heart issue don't fuck around, get it checked out and get treatment, unless of course you want to die sooner than later. I guess I wimped out by choosing a medical regimen with side effects that completely upended my life but I got my one wish which was to see my son into adulthood. Guess it goes to fear of doctors vs. fear of dying./end sort-of-rant
