    Ha! Legally speaking, yes. We had a wedding ceremony back in '04—dancing, cake, the whole 9—but nothing was official. Despite same-sex marriage laws passing more recently in New York (my home state) and DC (down the road), it became a matter of principle to hold off on getting anything on paper until Maryland, our current state of residence, gets it. Fingers crossed indeed, and thank you!

    There are two baby arboreal geckos in our place right now. They're three months old and about four inches long. They're pretty cute, but I hope they grow into their heads.

    Thanks! I only get weekends, summers, March break, and Christmas break, but that's still enough to see these little guys grow up! The rest of the time they'll be in the classroom.
