Me, I have a up-coming come uppance coming up. I mean, I'm going Down.
Internet friend from US coming to UK ... visiting me on Sunday. My home is a mess. I'll make it less so but know I'll be dissatisfied with the state of the place.

BIG sigh of relief. My ex signed the initial paperwork today. There is no turning back now. I feel better already. Thanks Zen and Zweiblumen. I truly appreciate the support.

 

I'll pay someone $5 to carry the 35-lb canister of cat litter in my trunk up the two flights of steps to my apartment. argh.

I was just at a forum meeting a candidate for the Interim Dean position (AKA, my Interim Boss.) Someone asked him if he planned on restructuring the Administration of the office. He mentioned me by name and no one else. I wonder if he plans on creating a job for me that will have to do with marketing the college. I'd love to do it....especially if I got more $$. I'd actually like to do it more than the job I just applied for. I have seen a need for marketing our college more effectively and have taken it on myself to do that even though it's not part of my job description.

Dr. McAwesome was in the meeting too, but left before my name was mentioned. He knows I'm awesome, but he needs to know others think I'm awesome too. ;-)

 

They are calling this 'the winter that wasn't.' Fine by me as long as next isn't 'the spring that never sprung.'

 

Yeah, this Winter's lack of extreme cold has gotten me to thinking about the upcoming Summer.
To continue with your motif, it will probably be 'the Summer that never ends'.
That used to be a good thing (Endless Summer), but we're still under drought conditions here in Texas.

 

Took almost a month off from jogging due to illness and minor injuries, but now that I am healthy I did a fun 3.1 mile jog last night. It was rather difficult, but felt great.

 

While I personally don't mind the mild weather, it sure has killed business. I guess it's good for folks that they aren't having to fix their cars, but commissions are gonna be crap.

 

I'm pretty sure we are having drought conditions too, and the lack of long, hard cold is confusing the hell outta everything from the birds tweeting like its spring to the bits of greenery popping up in the dead of winter to my dogs, who each have an insane case of spring fever when I take them out.

 

The Maryland House of Delegates is debating a civil marriage bill for same-sex couples this afternoon and is scheduled to vote on it at 4:30. My heart is in my throat.

Tonight will require the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol, either to celebrate victory or lament yet another loss.

 

That truly sucks.
With any luck and since we cannot do a dang thing about it, perhaps folks with get started with their winter-to-spring tweaking they do to their vehicles. We gotta get back to some kind of normal!

 

In years past, we could count on plenty of customization and restoration projects to supplement our winter sales. Fewer folks around here have the spare cash this year.

Maybe I should plan a few more day trips. Seems the only time the weather gets bad is when I'm 100+ miles from home.
