    World War Z is not exciting me all that much. It's been a choppy read so far with tiny little 'chapters', like entries. I'm only on page 32 so I hope it picks up.
    Getting the Shameless press kit is exciting as I thought I fell out of their orbit (was just a slow publicity guy) but now the pressures on to produce. No one put pressure on me like me.

    arrogant new student accused me of throwing out a number from wikipedia for my figure on the number of genes in my test plant, and contested it with a number from an outdated publication. Sorry, kiddo, but wikipedia must be right because that number is the same as the one I got from tair and ncbi - THE definitive resources on the matter. I can't stand arrogant ignorance. Learned from this experience: wikipedia is honestly pretty awesome. Just because wiki isn't always right doesn't mean that it is always wrong.

    Bad: freezing rain today and going to work anyway Worse: power failures for 2 hours, up and down like a yoyo Worst: plugging my Keurig coffee-maker into the generator blew the circuit breaker and they wouldn't let me plug it in anymore Better: they send everyone home at 10:30AM Best: the power is on at home and the Keurig coffee-maker at home works fine!
