I have no compelling reason to be awake right now... so why am I not in bed?

 

Giving the Beatles another try by playing some of the "Best of" album that I was given by an online friend years ago and still feeling no compulsion to actually buy any of their recordings. My interests must have missed this era for the most part as I would choose ragtime or most forms of jazz most anytime over them.

 

Somebody with a brain wrinklier than mine please explain to me why my woman went to her GP for a muscle sprain and gets a prescription for 400 mg Ibuprofen. Waste of time and money for shit you can buy over the counter. Doctors, dispense controlled shit please and stop wasting our time. Hell, just hit up the Target and take two of the 200 mg Ibuprofens. Military used to toss out 800 mg pills like they were candy. Weak ass doctors.

 

Ahh, yes. I was misremembering.
The one I was thinking of was Def By Temptation.
It had Kadeem Hardison in it, aka Dwayne Wayne from "A Different World", the spin-off of "The Cosby Show".

Def was in the same vein (ahem) as Bordello, in that it was about female vampires.

 

People - especially males - typically seem more into the female vampire films. Which makes sense as many of the good ones (as in: not Twilight or other films catering to depressed teenagers that welcome stalkers) contain at least some element of the homo-eroticism that is standard fare in the vampire tales.

Suddenly, I can't find a Preferences link on Google's homepage.
It seems you actually have to search for something, then find your preferences on the results page. Wtf, Google?

 

Lack of sleep is making me loopy. Not much change really

Lack of sleep must be contagious. Even after popping an Ambien I lied awake forever.

 

A finger of Blanton's and I passed out last night... unfortunately, I was back up at 3 am.
Have to give the NePSY this morning for the first time and I'm going in early to try to get a handle on it.
Then nothing until my last (5pm) appointment, then haul ass home, finish laundry, start packing,
try to sleep and up at 4 am for a shower and to the airport.
Hooray. I think today calls for pho. And a ton of water. Blargh.

 

Researching new running shoes before going to the store. I feel out of shape after not exercising for 6 days.
