FIRE!!!

Ok...not really. The fire alarm in my building DID go off and we all evacuated. The fire department and police came. There has been moisture problems in the basement, so a crew was working on that. Apparently the moisture caused problems with the alarm, causing them to go off. I'm not complaining. I saw firemen. My calendar is SUCH a liar though. Firemen don't go around putting out fires shirtless.

Random thought -
The original prints on the Star Wars DVDs I have (yes the only three that count, I would rather watch a Britney Spears video marathon than acknowledge those last three) look like VHS quality.
The "remastered" prints looks so much sharper but have those awful changes that Lucas made (looking specifically at the Cantina scene for a prime example) that muck them up something fierce.

 

Somehow I have a strange feeling that Real Steel is going to be like RoboCop meets An American Tale.... because, there are no cats in America, cynthetiq.

How's that for pointless?

 

While joking with my manager tonight, I pissed off a total douchebag. The manager ended up comping the entire $95 check. I felt terrible, and a little mad, too.

Had a Mammogram, then I'm told I have to get an ultrasound. But of course I have to wait until the end of next week. Anyway big family party today.

Ugh, there's a deer with a broken leg lying under a tree in my back yard next to a bird feeder. Looks like it is in bad shape. Have called animal control, waiting an officer to call me back. Poor thing needs to be put of her misery.
