  2. Should I get a Brady Doll or a Roethlisberger Doll to take my frustrations out on next season?

ETA: I have the choice between the normal Steeler's jersey of the stupid bumblebee throwback one....I think the bumblebee one would help me be able to be mean to a fellow Miami U alum.

I'm the guy that makes the sausage... ;)

Meaning, they like the sausage or what I'm doing
but they don't want to know about how it is done...or any info about it.
    No reports...just "I'm doing stuff"

Yet, periodically, they ask...then they don't want to know once I tell them.
Every once in a while I'll put out an email to elaborate on some discussion that proves to them I know what I'm doing...and they don't want to know more.

All I get back is, "Thanks"
Or I'm CC'd on a email to get my input.

Nice to be known for "something" even if they don't know really what.
    Hey, it's a paycheck.

  4. FYI....I got BOTH

My Gawd man I am so sorry, work shouldn't be stomping on your fellow employees, even though it happens everywhere. I guess I just didn't expect that when you job is public service. I was under the impression that police work was more of a tight brotherhood. Good luck to you @Omega

That hard work & those crazy hours are most likely what caused Speed Gibson to fall asleep behind the wheel.

    First day back at work.

Feels kind of good to be productive, and should be a limited week (no travel), so I'm expecting a gentle transition.

We watch reruns of the original Perry Mason. A scene from one episode made both of us LOL.

The plot was the custody battle over a little girl about six years old who stood to inherit four million dollars, and of course it involved a murder. At one point Mason & Paul Drake are discussing the successful rescue of the girl. Drake says, "I like finding little girls." The camera angle and the expression on his face made it sound totally pervy & creepy.

  12. I must find this.

I watched a lot of Perry Mason with my mom. Not the original so much, but definitely the later ones. Matlock and Murder She Wrote was also in our viewing lineup.

The murder rate of Cabot Cove must have been super high. AND every time she went somewhere, someone died. I'm thinking she was a serial killer.

"Oh look, Jessica Fletcher is coming for a visit."

I used to watch all of those, but not necessarily voluntarily (when you live in a small house with only TV set......). I can barely stand them now. My wife will watch anything, including reruns of reruns ad nauseam of totally crappy TV series.

On another forum there is a discussion about The Rifleman. Someone commented that Lucas McCain must've killed--at a conservative minimum--one person a week.

I love my husband... I heard some familiar theme music from the other room and came into the home office. Hubs has a HUGE grin on his face and says, "you know, I never really got into this show, but I came across an episode today and I found all these seasons online. I don't know why I didn't watch it, I love space stuff." I'm cracking up laughing and bursting with adoration as he proclaims, "I found all seven seasons of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and I'm getting ready to have a huge binge-fest." squeeeeee! I just love him.

We watched STNG when it first aired but not really seriously, especially from the very beginning. During the reruns I noticed that in the first season several of the actors struggled before they settled into their characters. It was kind of funny to watch their initial "overacting" during season one compared to the later seasons when they were more comfortable.

My wife placed Frakes on her "I'd (do) him" list. But definitely after Patrick Stewart, who was definitely after Sam Waterston (who did not appear in STNG).
