He only came to bed an hour ago (video games), and now Hubs keeps randomly laughing in his sleep. A low chuckle that is creepy as fuck.

Then computer games were most likely a big part of his youth.

Some of us geezers :D remember when four megabytes of RAM was a big deal, eight megs was a really big deal.

I'm 32. My first computer was a 386SX/25 with 2 MB RAM. It was super fancy because it was a genuine IBM PS/2 and had a 2400 bps modem.

I was around ten, I think.

He has been obsessed with computers since the first one. He works with them every day. With a few side PS3 experiments, it's been all PC gaming. It's stress relief for many. And, his hand-eye coordination is ridiculous.

    A 386SX/25?

Then you might/might not remember the introduction of The Computer Chip That Revolutionized PC Computing, The Intel 386SX-16. In reality it did revolutionize PC computing, made running Windows much easier, and eventually knocked Macintosh (this was back before they were commonly known as Apple) off the GUI throne.

Of course! I don't make them very often as pretty much any other way of cooking eggs is faster, and my husband is impatient where breakfast is concerned, but I do like to bake an egg cracked onto a bed of sautéed kale in a ramekin. I also sometimes make a big dish of green shakshuka, where I bake 4 eggs on top of sautéed greens.

I remember adding 16K cards to business machines.

My first PC was an IBM 5155 "portable". Because I worked at IBM, I had non-public engineering documentation on upping the memory from 256K to a whopping 640K. You should have seen my wife as I popped open the cover on my new toy and proceeded to swap memory chips on the mother board,

Our first "real" computer was a 286 Tandy. Maybe around 1991-2? It came from Radio Shack.

We have a great neighbour on one side, another great neighbour across the street, and college kids on the other side.

The college kids aren't actually too bad but every so often I find random beer bottles or cigarette packs on my front lawn. They do party but it doesn't keep me awake so I don't care too much.

Terrible neighbours could probably be a thread unto itself.
