Found my Fitbit! Super Ultra Happy Dance!

 

It occurred to me last night that I don't know what work's policy on hair color is...I'll have to remember to ask tonight or Saturday. Since we aren't in the public eye at all, perhaps now is the time for the purple hair I've been wanting for decades.

 

Getting all crafty and shit. Mailing label for my stepkid's birthday box... She wanted oatmeal raisin cookies. Obviously blocked out her name / address, but it was fun.

 

My daughter and I are about to go out shopping for plants for an herb garden. Buying fresh herbs at the grocery store is stupid.

 

I miss my herb garden. You want some crazy hot Guyananese pepper seeds?

 

In good soil with sunlight herbs will grow like crazy, and because they're basically wild weeds they're nearly impossible to kill. When we had a herb bed we over did it (landscaping timbers three high, inside diameter about two feet wide by 15 feet long, filled with good vegetable mix soil) and wound up with more herbs than we could ever use.

yeah, that's my problem with buying them in the store. You have to buy far more than you'll ever use in the time you have before they start to go stale. i'm thinking just a small window box with the basics.

 

These are a little tough to start, need the seed starter kits (little egg carton things with the soil pods) but Holy shit are they hard to kill once established. They need a lot of water and heat. In pots they stay somewhat small. Our friend used a 10 gallon planter and ended up with a giant bush about 3.5' tall.

 

The summer we had herbs, our porch smelled SO AWESOME. We should definitely do that again.

 

What did you do that needed that big on an apology?

 

I need to finish a PowerPoint for a presentation at 9:00 am tomorrow.
