    I put beer and chocolate in my chili.

    I also like quinoa bites. Nut butter squares with dried fruit, krispies, enjoy life bits, nuts, and honey are great. Deviled eggs with avocado and dried mustard mixed with the yolks. Or dried apricots dipped half into ganache and sprinkled with chopped pistachios. Or Danielle Walker's perfect chocolate chip cookies made with Cherry Tango Ghirardelli. Many fun things. Candied bacon, too.

    Yeah, whatever I make has to be walked out to a field half a mile from the parking lot, served on a field, and to a team captained by a vegetarian. Plus, ultimate is a game that features a lot of running, so nothing heavy, either.

    I work with members of the deaf community and it's considered kind of an honor to be given a sign name.
    So today one of the counselors called me over to where she was talking/signing to a client and they told me I had been given a sign name.
    It's the sign P in the right hand moved up the upward facing palm of the left hand which means tall.
    It's kind of funny because a number of the other people in the office don't have sign names and were a little surprised.

    Anyway, it's a small thing but kinda cool.

    Hubs came home with some apples last night from Grandma's tree--Gravensteins. The tree did not do so well this year, probably due to the heat. Usually, we get several bushels of apples, so my husband took over our large totes. Sadly, he came home with only one produce box worth. But I suppose that settles the issue of what to make for the frisbee team!

    There's a guy who comes by the office, the call 'The Peach Guy" who brings up truck loads of peaches from Washington.
    They are amazing.
    I bought a half rack.
    Since it was a little under ripe, I sliced one up and dropped it in the pan with a steak I was cooking for dinner.
    It was perfect.

    Went to Lewes Beach in Delaware, it was a wonderful day :cool:

    Also had BBQ beef brisket. (got lucky, some lady saw my wallet when I walked away from the BBQ station in a well-fed daze)
    A just made gourmet donut...HOT and the guy was stirring the batter right there...and made just that one for me. mmm... :p

    Great roadtrip in the new car...a little TOO good, the thing kicked in, flying by right in front of a MD state trooper....got a ticket for 85 in a 55. :eek: ($290 down the drain)
    But the guy was cool, even admired the car and wanted to more about it. (still strange to me this stuff...) I deserved the ticket, gotta learn not to take advantage of the power available to me now...pull the reins in.
    C'est la vie...

    But all-together, a very nice day.
    'Bout damned time, I worked my ass off & did a tap dance this week.
