Is your teleporter broken as well? I tried to order parts for mine but they won't made until made 2063 at the earliest. Should have known better than using a Ford Fiesta as the body for my time machine on that "brief trip" back to the early 21st century.

    Your first smart phone?

    You will.

Says the guy (me) who is to cell phone technology what Homer Simpson is to nuclear power plant operators.

As long as Borla is OK with it.

This morning, between 7 and 7:20 am, eight motorcycles showed up at my house. My wife made us homemade biscuits and gravy, with fruit and eggs on the side. The nine of us then rode 150+ miles, through Starved Rock and down the Illinois River valley to catch lunch just outside of Peoria in a dive bar with the best burgers you'll find anywhere. Then we rode back up the other side of the river, back through Starved Rock, and headed for home. We had perfect weather all day. Not shabby at all.

    No Twin Peaks stop?

A friend of mine is a motorcycle enthusiast. He & his fellow riders very quickly let newbies know that drags pipes & exhaust blipping in residential areas, I'm-a-badass-biker attitudes, etc. are not acceptable.

No Twin Peaks in the area, sorry. ;)

One neighbor across the street is also a Harley guy, as is a guy 3-4 houses down. Another neighbor lady came out as we were leaving to talk about what a gorgeous day we had for our ride. I try (as do my guests) to be respectful of the amount of noise I make coming and going on my bike. Neither are we the types that embrace the full on, stereotypical "biker" life, which honestly is more of a caricature of what it once was anyway. I see guys on $25k baggers, that they've added $20k in chrome and paint to, act like they are hardcore and "real bikers". The same guys don't put 1000 miles a year on those bikes, and spend most of the time staring at them in their garage. No thanks to that. I'm just a guy who has a bike and loves to ride it. Most of the buddies I regularly ride with do also have Harleys, but not all. But just yesterday, aside from the five of us on Harleys, we had one guy on a sport bike (Suziki 650 IIRC), a woman on an older Kawasaki, and two guys on V Stars. It's a pretty eclectic and diverse crew, and we have a blast.

    Good vinyl hunt today.
Got Blondie's S/T album that I have been trying find forever. This finally completes the set.
I also found something totally unexpected, a Rasputina 4 song demo that includes a mix that they did with Marilyn Manson. I didn't even know this was released on vinyl.
And finally, I got the original Virgin records pressing of Kraftwerk"s Autobahn in very good shape.
I remember listening to it in 76 and wondering just what the hell was I was hearing. Way ahead of it's time, just like Blondie's first album.

My twin nephews just graduated from Penn. One wanted a portable turntable w/built in speakers; I got him a Crosley. The other is into African drum music and wanted a Djembe drum.

They both got real jobs too!

Must be something in the air...I'm getting more glances, smiles and flirtations than usual.

And I'm not doing anything differently...not even wearing Axe.
    Strange.

And surprisingly, not even opening up my mouth is chasing them away... (who would have thought???)
    Maybe I'm learning...only took 47 years.

Made a dental appointment for tomorrow. I haven't been to the dentist in almost 2 years now. Whoops. It has nothing to do with anxiety; my dentist is a cool guy and I enjoy going to him.

My cats are actually very simple. They yowl a bit but nothing more.
