    I forgot that today is DC Emancipation Day, (shame on me) starting with a parade down Pennsylvania Ave that ended at Freedom Plaza, in front of my building , where dozens of ethnic food stands are set up to feed the masses all day, along with good music.

    Too good to miss; Alcohol exhibit can wait 'til next week.

    At 4 I was in REI.
    At 1:30 am, I am trying to sleep in a 4Runner 470 miles from work, and 1 mile from the AT.
    This should be interesting. We hit the trail in 6 hours... Didn't get here until 12:45.
