I don't mind 3am, don't own cats and as long as "M" is asleep in the bed my dog is not moving anywhere soon. This morning was more difficult for me as I up up late trading phone calls with friends and ex co-workers attempting to gain info about a rather odd phone call I received yesterday. I finally finished all that at 0100, so 2 hours of sleep. I operate just fine on 4 hours of sleep, 2 is pushing it a bit. But I walked 6K this morning and feel fine now.

Watching Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai (The Case of Yokozawa Takafumi). I don't even care that I've watched it before (maybe more than once). Every time I watch it, there's something else in the background that I notice, some little reference to other stories in the series or in the same universe.

And what's not to like about two guys kissing...oh wait, that's another thread.

Unfortunately, that's about as far as they go in this movie, which is disappointing, as the light novel was much more graphic.

  4. Watching the newer version of Teen Titans with the kids......I kinda like it. Smh.

My wife is the early morning riser. She is up at 3:30-4:00am everyday.

She's been away for the week and the dog likes to remind me that someone has to be up at that hour. I am not looking forward to the summer when I have the house (and the dog) to myself for 8 weeks.

5am is our usual wake-up time M-F. This morning my alarm awakened me from a dream in which I was already awake and out of bed; it was strange.

I don't have an alarm. It's just in my head, stuck forever I assume since my time in the military. I make that assumption on the fact I've been like that since boot.

I can also, for some reason wake up a particular hour if needed. For example if I have an early flight and need to awake at 0300, or whenever, I somehow manage to wake up +/- approx. 5 mins of the time I need to roll out of my rack. I have no idea how or why I can do that but I haven't missed an early flight in years. And the last time I did it was due to a major accident and my route was blocked.

I'd be interested to hear from other people who can do this. Or people who can explain why it happens.

I hate alarm clocks. Mine is set mostly as an emergency measure. I get up at 5:30 every day naturally, though this week it's been 6 because I'm on spring break.

Can you wake at a certain time if need be?

Typically, yes. I think being perpetually afraid that I'll oversleep keeps me from oversleeping.

I don't even care that I've read it through three times (at least). I'm gonna read it again!

Gotta work tomorrow, but at least I'm getting paid for it. (hourly works well for this)

Also got an email from the big boss, wanting to take me to lunch Tuesday.
It's about what I'm doing well, nothing wrong.
Nice, but now I'm really paranoid.

Pop the champagne, bring out the girls, put steaks on the grill and crank up the music.
