Years ago I was heading to work down Wisconsin Avenue in tenleytown when I hit a manhole lip. DC had cut the street down around it overnight so that it sat up about two inches higher than the rest of the street in preparation for repaving. I have 45 series tires on my car so they were pretty low profile. The manhole pinched the tire and actually peeled the metal back on my rim. To make matters worse I called all the major tire distributors and could not find a replacement rim. The company, OZ, had stopped manufacturing that rim so I couldn't find a single match. I ended up ordering new tires and rims as a package. By the time I went by later in the day, the city had mounded asphalt around it to just make it a giant lump in the road.

Don't know why I read the as the Blue Bell cemetery... Sheesh.

I'm officially addicted to Guayaki Yerba mate. It's the only time I feel functional. Obviously, it hasn't kicked in yet.

 

Yay for Mondays....or in this case more like a continuation of last week which never really ended.

 

So happy to be home. This should be two weeks in town before I have to travel again. Sadly, my wife is off for a week now. At some point we might end up in the same place for more than a few days.

 

Today we're going to Space Center.
