    You know I know her, or have met her and conversed with her to some extent. She and several other ladies (all aspiring authors but her) used to meet in a small diner in Netarts Oregon. I used to fish and crab in Netarts Bay. I worked with one of the ladies in the group and several times sat and had coffee with them. My impression was/is Ms. Auel is one odd duck. Near as I could tell she talked nearly complete nonsense while the others hung on every word she uttered. Many times as I sat, mostly listening, I couldn't get the show "The Twilight Zone" out of my head.

    It's 8°C (45°F) and raining. It's December 5th. It's supposed to be winter in a couple of weeks.

    Though it is much colder out west. (It's -22°C (-8°F) in "Winterpeg" today!) I think Toronto has stolen Vancouver's weather.
