Pointless Announcements

I avoid his speeches, just hearing Obama's voice irritates me. Fortunately I have been good and only swore both times when I heard he was elected.
Of course Bush Jr. was just as hard to watch though, Obama at least sounds highly educated and polished.

 

I guess it wasn't really a knock so much on Allison Krauss. I was thinking more of the vibe... for whatever reason I was hearing it with a real old-time twangy male voice, rather than a more contemporary vibe. But given that it's all theoretical, I imagine Allison Krauss would do just fine.

I know the feeling. I am hoping I get money back this year and that it can pay at least some of the taxes I still owe. That is before the "lack of insurance" hit I am facing this year because of that ACA s**t.

 

I know right? that is a load of crap that we got wrapped up like a present and served. sure helped some, gutting the middle class again. My Son made less than 25000.00 selling cars, and they will fine him this year. what good is that?

Ok, I had another weird dream earlier and it had Jeff Bridges, Jeremy London, and @noodle in it.

In the dream I went to a department store to buy a pocketknife, when out of nowhere a wild @noodle appeared!
She was with a couple of girlfriends, we started chatting about the TFP and various things until the clerk came to help me.
He turned out to be a knife collector and asked if I and noodle and the girls wanted to see his collection.
The girls turned him down, but noodle and I went to his house, which turned out to be a mansion. (on a store clerk salary!)
While I was looking at his knives he and noodle were talking decorating and design. Then he made a pass at noodle and we decided to leave.
All the sudden we were outside the department store again trying to decide if we wanted to walk or take a cab.
While talking about it, across the street noodle spots Jeremy London (who she says is an ex-boyfriend) and we cross the street to talk with him.
When we get there, though, he's turned into Jeff Bridges as he looks in the remake of True Grit.
In the dream he's the leader of a bunch of street hobos and wants us to join his gang. Next thing I know, noodle and Jeff are kissing. Then I woke up.

Sorry about that, noods.

 

I spent too much time as a kid watching Hee Haw with my grandfather. That and Monty Python.

FYI, Don Harron, the actor who played Charlie Farquarson on Hee Haw (and other places) died the other day. He was a Canadian legend.
