Pointless Announcements

Took a basic 2.5 hour Avalanche course for work on my day off. Certain highways including the interstate get hit by avalanches. So we are supposed to wear beacons that both transmit and receive. So after going over their use and also reviewing avalanches in general, I strapped on some snowshoes and recovered a couple beacons that had been buried prior to the last snowstorm. All at 10,000 feet. Snowshoes are pretty cool for getting around.

I quit watching Fox years ago when they altered the Bush/Gore election. Bush stole it with the help of Fox and his brother Jeb in Florida

 

I was thinking of the excellent film Fallen today and remembered a particularly amusing thing that happened when it was fresh in the theatres. I was in a Wendy's ordering food and started singing "Time is on my side..." to myself. The kid behind the counter got this scared look on his face like I was about to start some serious trouble.
Sadly enough most of the kids I work with now would need a too lengthy explanation to even start to understand that.

Fox News and CNN are both bulls**t with their own angles. I prefer to watch BBC coverage of American events - especially for politics.

Just saw this on Facebook and if it is correct it just screams "Don't cast a vote for me ever!"
I will be glad to see Obama leave office, but if this is one possible GOP front runner I will be running even further from that party than the last clusterf*ck they called a presidential election.

 

think i may have reached the tipping point where i consume more fuel letting my car warm up and defrost than i do in actually driving it.
