  1. Both of my sisters-in-law did black bridesmaid dresses. It was helpful because they both let us choose a dress styles we liked and there are so few variations of black, that it didn't really matter. The dresses were catered to our individual sizes and tastes. It's especially easy since I don't live in the same state as my sisters-in-law, so I didn't have to worry about being available for a fitting.

If the dresses are all the same cut and style, I think a little color wouldn't hurt.

I see the practicality for a bridal party. But when all of the guests are in black... It makes for some depressing photos.

Sounds as questionable as the overused selective colour look people think is so "cool" for their pictures.

  4. Lousy weather today for the Craft Beer Stroll, cold, windy and it will likely rain. We will tough it out, though.

No game for us today, so I am anxiously awaiting the game at 5. Go Huskies!

  6. Hit 20 of 21 venues on the stroll. Only two real stinkers out of the beverage offerings, one raspberry wheat that was not my style and one supposed IPA that was off the scale on the IBU's . Almost all of the appetizers were really tasty. One take on a tiramisu paired with a coffee stout was outstanding.

I'm actually interested in a football game. This rarely happens. Go Bears!

Took the dog to the Dog-O-Mat today for a long-overdue bath. The dog was not happy about this.

    Ok, I was weirded out...

I went onto my account on a dating site...saw a visitor.
    Hey...perhaps something interest.
    Wha???
My Ex-wife's insane ex-friend with her own new single account??? (I thought she was married? I went to her friggin' wedding back then)

Ok, this is wrong in so many different ways.
Not that I would even think of doing anything ...or even acknowledging she visited. (Thank God I'm on a hidden visit setting...)
    But eewww...so many bad memories.

WHY??? Why would you even connect me that way??
    Why me??
    *shiver*

We call that the lake or garden hose. Molly is fine with either.

I hate having to choose between sports teams.

One of the perks from my husband's company is that the owner has season tix to the Blazers that he sells at a discount to the employees. They are apparently excellent seats. Only problem is that the one game we can make in the first batch up is the same day as Beaver football.

There are really worse dilemmas to have.

I wrote "occasionanally" in a comment I posted in a document yesterday. It's a good thing I caught it.

I've got "occasional anal" on my mind, obvs.

Today my past came back to haunt me when I got x-rays for my bad back. Seems the supposedly minor tennis injury I suffered when I was 17, was actually a stress fracture of one lower vertebra. Another mystery solved. Said disc is now refusing to line up with the others. Fortunately, the doc thinks that PT should clear up the problem.

Star Trek is good company on work-from-home days... but honestly sometimes distracting.

Has anyone else noticed that Gowran has a really cheezy French accent? There's something incredibly disconcerting about a Klingon with a French accent. Irony?

  17. Been rewatching TNG and have totally missed that. Need to backtrack to verify.

I've never been a hardcore Trekkie, and I prefer Star Wars over Star Trek. But I was way into TNG when I was a kid and probably early teens.

It came out 27 years ago, and Patrick Stewart only looks about 5 years older. :p

I've been marathoning Enterprise because I only got to see the first season and a half.
It's a good series and really deserves a better rep.
