I saw that earlier. Can't wait.

 

Apple Picking is a real thing. DaddySquirrel and I were invited by my sister-in-law to join her family and friends this weekend.

I thought it was just something used to make fun of white people. I will be the ONLY white person on this adventure.

 

I know right!?! Domesticity does not look good on me.

I'll probably through one at my yuppy in laws. It's all good in the hood.

 

Yes, they very much are. A hunk of plastic sittin' on your eyeballs is supposed to be comfortable. Yeah, no.

 

There is nothing, NOTHING like a fresh honeycrisp off the tree. I don't care who you are. I was covered in apple juice from eating them as I picked.

In other news, you may all now refer to me as Dr. Noodle... for at least the next week. I get a full 7 days, bitches.

That looks grueling, you had better enjoy a steak for dinner at home to recover after such a tiring day. And deal with the responsibilities that come with being with the "head of the Stanley Fan Club"....that is your official TFP title correct?

So I have three boxes of 33 rpm vinyl record albums in our storage cube. I really have no use for them.

And since I didn't want anything stacked on top of them, they took up an inordinant amount of space.

So I took them to a used record store today. They said they'd look at them and make me an offer.

I got the call. They want a third of the albums, and they're offering NINETY DOLLARS.

(I would have been glad if they had just taken them off my hands for free.)

Update: they gave me the $90, in cash, AND were willing to keep the other two-thirds of the albums, so I didn't have to find some place to dispose of them.

 

This idea of "getting rid of vinyls" does not compute in my head. But I have been good and not added to my supply for some time now ....at least until my storage space and budget improve.
This type of item is still high on the list of things i would buy if I had the means....*drool* They did cost cost more like $10-20,000 new not long ago, so prices are getting better.
