This kind of talk might hurt his feelings. At least we know @Borla will stick around because Stanley uses his account to check on his fan club.

Got some good games to watch today. It'll take my mind off of the fact that I have no phone.

This is going to be a long, miserable college football season.

    Street Pattern Very Tilted

From my perspective, it will be about the same length as any other college football season.

There are just six more Saturdays this year when a hundred thousand people will pack the stadium, about a mile from where I sit, to watch The Home Team play football.

On those six days, all activities, errands, shopping, etc., have to be planned around the heavy traffic of people going to or coming from the stadium.

After the game, some normally two-way major streets become one-way, in order to escort a high volume of cars out of town. You can't get on or off any of those streets, or even cross them, until the postgame traffic is gone.

It's seriously inconvenient only if (1) you weren't paying attention to the schedule, and get caught in the traffic, or (2) if some emergency arises, and you have to go somewhere when the roads are congested.

There's hardly ever any reason to inquire about the outcome of a game. The Home Team almost invariably wins.

M y husband insists on watching every game televized from the comfort of our living room while drinking copious amounts of craft beer.

It's week two and I have already had enough.

He doesn:'t like watching games with others because they don't typically appreciate when he switches channels between the 3-5 games that he's watching at once.

Today he had the TV and his computer streaming constantly. It wouldn't be so bad if our daughter could handle this much football. Last year he watched the baby at the same time as all the games so that was great for me. But this year our toddler hates all the attention he gives the TV.

I do the same thing as far as switching games constantly, save when 1-2 particular teams are playing. Sometimes I'll have my phone in one hand and iPad in the other too.

But two of us in the same room would probably cause a fight. :p

He is unlikely to fight. Unless you hate hops or are a USC fan.

I'll root for whatever is the "good team" if it involves ribs/steaks/etc. Unfortunately my teleportation device is still in the shop. Apparently some of the parts needed won't be made until 2075 in even crude form.
