Happy day, almost birthday buddy.

 

I'm in love with my new silicone liner brush. My eyeliner finally looks perfect.

I am sending out a song dedication for this "weekend" to "I can sleep when I am dead". Not checking if that is the proper name of the song, I just remember hearing that pop country recording a few years ago

 

i committed to buying my first vehicle with no family involvement yesterday. it's a 49cc chopper.

We killed a few hours before my/our early BD dinner hitting a few resale shops. I came home with ONE book, while my wife came home with a shirt, a pair of shoes, a book, & some Beanie Babies.

 

...sound investment.

 

Some years back, I was driving eastbound on I-96 near Milford, Michigan, during a snowfall. Up ahead, standing on the median edge of the westbound lanes, I saw what looked like a dark rectangular monolith. What was that?

It turned out to be the bottom of a minivan, which was standing straight up, in the process of rolling over, in exquisitely slow motion.

By the time I came even with it, it landed on its roof, little wisps of steam rising from the chassis, the people inside hanging upside down in their seats. There was zero damage that I could see.

I tend to think of a (car) rollover as being over the side, like a dog rolling over. This one was end-over-end.

 

I once saw a minivan either hit or get hit (couldn't tell because of the angle) by an 18 wheeler. It went across five lanes of rush hour traffic and smashed headfirst into cement wall. I pulled over, as did several other drivers. The woman driving the MV was very pregnant, third trimester. I later found out from the insurance company investigator that she & the baby were fine.

Years earlier along the same stretch of freeway I saw a PU lose its left rear tire. It rolled & bounced across four lanes of northbound traffic, bounced over the wall in the median, went across five lanes of southbound traffic, then across three lanes on the feeder/frontage road. This happen at about 3:30pm, just as rush hour traffic was starting to buildup; amazingly the tire didn't hit any vehicles.

 

I had a lieutenant wink at me today at the doctor's office. Made me feel fancy!

It's cool to drool when you're a fool, but not when you're in the pool at school wearing wool.

 

ACTUALLY.... It probably was! I got a compliment on these babies at the Dr, too.

I'm actually a little glad that everyone, save one supervisor, forgot what day it is.
It made the whole day so much easier.
