    My daughter seems to understand when I tell her some things. She made her usual fuss when I was walking out the door this morning. I kissed her on the head and told her I didn't want to leave her, either. She blinked, let it process for a moment, then kissed me and waved goodbye.

    I keep waiting for the crash from today's adrenaline... it's not coming.
    And I'm running on 3 hours of sleep. Feckin' bulletproof coffee at 10:30 am yesterday didn't wear off until after 1am.
    Maybe a bath and some Brandon Sanderson, followed by Hemlock Grove or Northman's ass.
    Either way, this day needs some Skarsgård in it.

    This 6 year old I work with just kills me. Not only did she tell me she HAS to say the "f-word" back at her daddy when he says it to her, but she's convinced that this button on my car key shoves you out of the car when you push it.

    You can wave to my cousins from there.

    We used to go to Semiahmoo Resort, across the bay from White Rock, for a retreat every year when I was growing up.

    In response to your observation, not even close. You've still got an enormous buffer of general Cascadia before you get somewhere like, say, Idaho or Utah. We're more like British Columbia than not, and vice-versa.
