I would actually consider watching some of the Superbowls/"game 7" events from the past few years/decades. More than a few of the events in any given sport not named basketball would be a complete surprise to me with the outcome.

Looked at the XFCE desktop, was uninspired. Installing GNOME now. Might use it on occasion at least. Once upon a time I used that desktop with whatever distro I had installed at the time.
I still like Unity interface but just having options that are easy to install from a proper CLI and free is good.

Two thrift stores, and a very nasty thunderstorm. I came home empty handed, not even a single book, and I passed on a Dune special director's edition three disk set.

I just got slapped across my face, eye, and forehead by an out of control springy melted string of cheddar cheese.
Burned the hell out of my eye.
I wonder if this how porn stars feel?

It had more to do with the other options on the TV being so poor, but once I started watching...

I may not go out of my way to watch most hockey, but there is something in me that loves hockey. I was surprised to discover that.

Just remember, as long as you know where the off-switch is located, you still have the upper hand.

Said nasty thunderstorm then ended up here about 20 minutes before yoga class... at about 8:10 CDT.
If I could make it out to yoga in that mess, you could have totally snatched up Dune. Sheesh... lightweight.

In other news, the best way to end a yoga class is with wine. seriously.

I might go back for it, even though SciFi isn't my really my thing. They also had a large 'Must See Movies' guide book that was reasonably current, 2010 I think, and a three-in-one volume of George Carlin books. And a Showgirls DVD; the movie sucks, but the female nudity factor is high enough to make it interesting, much like Eyes Wide Shut.

Mentioning EWS, I'd like to have a copy that includes all of the endings. My understanding is there is at least one alternate ending, possibly even more. I find it interesting that people are portrayed as being disturbed by having sexual fantasies about people other than their spouse. Get real, folks.

That sounds like something straight out of chessey SciFi movie.
    Ugh.

I'm pretty sure the publisher/book designer hates my perfectionism.

I try to say fuck it. I really do.

Grad school is a bit beyond my mental capabilities. I still don't know how I completed an undergrad.

(Yes I do. I took English. LOL!)
