It was news to me. It was about what I expected from reading the back of the books. A more recent take on Hal Lindsey's Late Great Planet Earth which has definitely aged better than 88 Reasons the Rapture will hapen in 1988....which was followed by "oops, I meant it will happen in 1989, forgot about that prophecy in the 4th book of Malachi that says the name of anti-christ will be 'insert name of popular figure alive at time of publication'" type of thing.

    Someone is cooking bacon.

    My gods, I want bacon.

Peameal? I need to investigate to see if they sell the Applegate peameal bacon (Products - Bacon - Low Carb and Gluten Free Natural Canadian bacon - Applegate) at the upscale grocery here. Whole Paycheck probably has it, but I really have no need to step in there when I'd rather give my money to their locally-owned B Corp competitor.

I try to stick to back bacon because it's also delicious, but it's also way more meat.

It's hard to deny the flavour of side bacon though. Pork fat, ftw.

Bacon is delicious in any form, but my ultimate favorite is Pork belly - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My family grew up on side bacon. I didn't have back bacon until I was an adult. I won't ever turn down cuts from the belly of a pig, as there is a kind of nostalgic feel to it as well. :p

With the size of that kettle, you might as well go for the One-Touch. It's easier to move around and clean, plus you don't need a table to keep it on. I've also owned a small Smokey Joe (the size smaller than the Jumbo Joe), and the One-Touch is just so much easier to deal with.

Good suggestions, but, I already have a large table on my porch (with more than enough room for the portable grill), and really no room to put a grill on a stand.

I'm so close to being done with this substantive edit on this doorstopper that I can taste it.

(I hope the author is ready for nearly 200 manuscript editorial comments on top of six pages of extra notes.)

A few more things to cross off the to-do list, and then I'll feel pretty accomplished.

I've apologized to people waiting while I looked over packages of bacon to select the meatiest ones. A couple of times folks have told me, "No problem, I'll take the last one that you put back."
