Today's agenda: clean apartment, unpack office, find the public library, get a library card, pick up husband, cook dinner.

This housewifery stuff is not for the weak.

 

It's nice to know that I can still get buried in work on a national holiday.

I just can't wait until I return to my regularly scheduled weekends....

(Fuck, I thought the first one was going to be June 7/8, but I have a conference all goddamn weekend. My first weekend off, in theory, since the end of March, will be June 14/15. Wish me luck!)

 

Despite it being May, I decided to paint my nails with this polish.

 

Drove hubs to work in my pajamas. I'm happy that despite an increase in distance of .8 miles, it takes about the same amount of time due to higher speeds and less traffic.

 

When speaking in front of groups...especially those in authority,
I am getting braver...just because I don't give a shit
and
I just want to get my damn point across
despite upsetting their warm & fuzzies in their skewed worldview.

You don't want my help...then I'll go help someone else.
You don't like my method, then I'll go use it elsewhere.
The market is on my side...I can get paid many ways.

The people at the top aren't any different than those lower than them.
They all have their limits.
You pay someone to give you advice...to get something done.

Then you shout...from over in the grandstands...that you don't like my swing.
You want home-runs and triple-plays always.
Screw it...I'm making runs & plays consistently.
Oh yeah, I got a bit of dirt on my pants too. Deal with it.

Man, people are petty...and inattentive until they are prodded.

Some figure it out in time.

But EVERY place does the same friggin' thing.

Apparently, this mindset made me into the "cool teacher" despite the fact that I'm pretty demanding.

 

Wow, I can clean the whole apartment, top to bottom, in half an hour. I like that.
