    I just realized that whenever I get stressed out about people getting mad about something in the bookmaking process, it's always about something outside of my control or because of someone else. Why should I worry so much?

    Got the kitchen and dining room about 50% packed up. I expect we'll finish that today, easily. Then it's on to staging everything but furniture in the garage so it's ready for the Uhaul.

    In Alaska you can get land cheap but houses vary.
    You can get some for very reasonable prices but you'll be off the grid.
    Hope you like generating your own electricity and an outhouse at -10F.
    With electricity and sewer they can be damned expensive.

    Right now I'm debating staying clean shaven, going back to a full beard (full being relative in my case), or going back to the Balbo.

    My wife's one & only comment, completely neutral with no expressed or implied like/dislike,
    "I see that you decided to shave it off again."
    A few years ago she would've said much more, she actually liked me with a beard or Balbo.
    EDIT: My appearance no longer matters to her?

    Oh well, as I say, "It ain't plastic surgery."

    It looks like the Ontario provincial election might be interesting. The conservative leader just promised to cut nearly 10% of the public sector workforce even though the province is still struggling with economic growth. The cuts would likely have to come with serious cuts to services. On top of that, the NDP leader is acting like a populist conservative, and the Liberal leader has to contend with her party's corruption/scandals. Awesome.
