    On the plus side, I earned $350 today doing emergency revisions. On the down side, I have yet to touch the work I still need to do today.

    Holy fuck. I just realized that I'm going to be involved with seven different book projects in some capacity before the end of the month.

    And to think there's another on the horizon. I hope that waits until May at least.

    I took the dog on a walk this evening. I have a 1.5 mile route through the neighborhood.

    At one point, we heard the buzz of a small plane's engine. The dog stopped and Would. Not. Move.

    Eventually the plane became visible, climbing, across the sky to our right. The dog watched, but remained rigidly in place.

    Only after it disappeared behind us did she start trotting forward, as if nothing had happened.

    Well, it suits my own nefarious purposes. The male character in this is supposed to be dominating, but he's been utterly emasculated after his wife has left him. The scene I snipped comes after they've reconciled; my thought is that he needs to reassert this dominance, and will do so in a completely sexy way.
