    In Win8 the user no longer has to click "start" to shutdown if the user is in "desktop mode" and no applications running the Alt-F4 will bring up a menu.
    But in "Metro UI" the procedure is even less intutive than in XP & Win7. Click "Start"-> Settings then select power option in the settings sidebar that pops up (if you are so lucky to have the power option :). Let's just hope that the final product will differ from this preview.

    I put Apple Safari on the clunky Dell that I sometimes have to use at work. Gives me a pleasant little bit of Mac on my PC desktop.

    I installed Safari on both the desktop and laptop. But I still keep going to Opera for nearly everything and Firefox mainly just for netflix, noscript, the FireFTP extension.

    Scheduled a hair appointment for next Friday. (Soonest I could make it happen) I am soooooooooooo excited. My hair is a hot mess. I chose the salon and stylist from a yelp comment: B is damn funny AND she's good with a pair of scissors. I have to witness this. She better be damn funny or I'll be pissed.
