Anyone else have those kind of days, where you look back at what you ate, and you just wanna hang your head in shame?

My diet was fairly appalling today.....

Middle class indignation at me when I enforce the laws equally on them. I got told that I should be out finding rapists. Over 40,000 people die in the U.S. every year in car crashes. at least she didn't say "I pay your salary".

 

I knew a guy who would go off some manical anti-drug rants, but because he was a hard working tax paying citizen he thought it was OK for him to buy a couple of joints from some guys he knew. He was also a staunch conservative who firmly believed in trickledown economics.

He was not happy when I pointed out to him the trickleup effect of him buying "just a couple of joints."
The money he spent most likely made its way back up to the same dealers who supplied the street dealers who sold to kids. He had teenaged sons in middle school & high school, & I'm 99% certain that he would beat them into a hospital stay if he ever caught them with so much as a roach.
The same people who were smuggling the marijuana that he eventually bought were probably also smuggling hard drugs.
Meaning he was supporting the same people that he wanted to see harshly punished for being drug dealers.

 

I don't think my coworker made the flight. Sucks to be her. Exactly the reason I didn't go into the office first.

It would make things a lot simpler here if the politicians would just legalize pot, and let folks grow their own. But Texas is controlled by conservative politicians (both parties) and we're still part of the Bible Belt. Our dumbass governor has spoken in favor legalization, but ONLY because he's not up for re-election and he knows such legislation will probably never be introduced, and if it is, it'll never make to a vote.

 

This absolutely had me laughing my ass off.
