You are the first person I thought of when I saw CinnamonGirl's post on facebook talking about this.

 

I passed out on a friend's couch around 7. Woke up about a half hour ago. Curled up in a state of half sleep really missing @damnitall

My pathetic hat is on.

 

I would if she were not so prolific at XX. Has she mentioned this publicly? She gets many comments and is very engaged. I would've joined simply to hang with her (and other TFPers, one in particular that I hadn't seen for 10 years) but I was already a member. Many of us are there and no surprise, there is huge overlap in the friends count. I'm quite happy with the situation as once she left here, it was hard for me to justify hanging around (as I agreed 100% with the reasoning).

 

And what is that?

 

Guess what? It is January everywhere.
I'm told by my dad who lives near DamnitAll, that they have over a foot of blowing snow. This is an area of the country that does not really "do" snow. Plows haven't even come out his way, yet. He's 83 y.o. and super low key. He says he's stocked up on provisions and plans to goof around on the internet until he gets dug out.
That said, I hate Chicago in the winter. I'm in the NW burbs though where it's just bloody awful cold.

We were watching a movie about a white supremeist (played by Gene Hackman) in prison, falsely convicted of murder. I told my wife, "That prison guard looks very familiar, but I can't quite place his face, it might be Bo Jackson." The credits confirmed my thought.
