I survived backwoods Texas, no thanks to my crackhead GPS.
Even got hit on my a little-bitty man in a ten-gallon hat in Jasper that was a little bummed that he had to spend Christmas with his case of cheap beer, alone, since I wasn't interested in his "190 proof 'shine".
    And, I learned what a "coon-ass" is.
I had heard about Jasper ahead of time and planned NOT to stop, but my bladder had other plans.
Luckily, the standard speed limit in backwoods Texas is 60 - 75 mph. So, even with two pee breaks, I made it back in 3.5 hours.

A coon ass usually refers to a lower class country cajun. That was my understanding from the coon asses i knew there. Like other racial epithets, it's been reclaimed as a point of ethnic pride. People still use it in the classist/racist sense, though.

Yes, this was used after I rejected his advances, so I think that it was derogatory.
And, knowing what's gone on in Jasper in the past, I have no doubt.

Somehow I ended up with three knives for Christmas.
Now I currently have five knives in my pocket.

Anybody want to start a gang fight?

*sigh* Yes. Yes, I did. But he was my own age.
This is totally NOT my thing.
I think it's because I'm relatively tall or because I like to wear tall shoes.
I was wearing my boots with 2" heels.
    It's a power thing, I suspect.
Dammit, Niner. I don't want to think about that. Eeew.

Wolves are always described as hungry. Moreso than other predators. I wonder what's behind that impulse.

  19. Nantucket Blend is kinda boring. Donut Shop is pretty good. Italian Roast is a bit bitter for my taste. Hazelnut and Caramel Vanilla are just vile. I have enjoyed the Newman's Own in the past. If these K-cups weren't so wasteful and expensive (65 cents a cup? Outrageous!), I could be a fan. I'll see how Folger's works with this machine and meanwhile, start shopping for a grinder. If anyone actually likes some of these variety brews, I'd be willing to mail them to you.

A well caffeinated Grumpster is a happy Grumpster !:)

Maybe it's that non-hungry wolves pretty much keep to themselves and don't bother us hoomans.
